
Experienced Instructors
Prior to being an instructor at our School for Dog Trainers, all our instructors are required to have ample training and field experience sufficient to meet State regulations in Georgia where our school is licensed to operate. Because of their real-life experiences as dog trainers, they are able to convey invaluable information and techniques to students.
Our staff continuously strive to remain up to date on dog training techniques and methods in this ever-changing industry by regularly attending training programs, seminars and conferences.

Elissa Greenberg
President, Administration
Elissa holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. She has worked in various areas broadening her experience in clinical and administrative settings. Starting out working in mental health for a few years in a psychiatric hospital setting, this gained her experience of working with people of all backgrounds of psychological, neurological and substance issues.
She is experienced in running an office on the back-end as well as the front-end allowing her to be able to work behind the scenes ensuring a smooth operation while also being available to work alongside many environments, including events and conferences. .

Donna Shipman
Operations, Instructor
Donna Shipman is an instructor at, American K9 Connection, Inc. She has 8 years of practical experience of service dog training with her own two dogs and is a certified Pet First Aid/CPR Instructor. She came to us with a broad range of experience and over 20 years in leadership roles in Business and Project Management. Donna works closely with our Owner and other business divisions to ensure that our students have an opportunity to learn while attending our programs.

Mike Alexander
Veterans Affairs, Instructor
Mike is a retired/ disabled combat veteran. His years of retirement reflect time of combined services. He served in the US Navy from 1989 until 1996 with a brief break in service. He also served in the US Army from 2001 until retirement in 2004. During his time in the Navy, he made several deployments overseas in support of Operation Desert Storm and several other missions. Mike served on the USS San Jose AFS-7 and the USS John F. Kennedy CV-64. While enlisted in the US Army he was stationed at Ft. Stewart and served in 3-15 Infantry Division during the invading forces in the 1st of many operations of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. After retirement from active duty, Mike continued serving by deploying more times as a civil servant with the Dept. of the Army/ Dept. of Defense again until medical retirement in 2015. After many years of service and sustaining multiple injuries ranging from traumatic brain injury, knee problems, multiple surgeries to simple broken fingers.
Mike is a teacher with a local college and an Instructor for American K9 Connection, Inc.
